Who we are

FableTale is operated by Zain ul abideen. This policy explains how we handle information when you use the FableTale iOS app and this website. You can contact us at support@fabletale.com.

Information we handle

When you create an account, we handle your name, email address, login credentials in protected form, and account preferences. If you create a story, we handle your idea, chosen story details, the resulting text, cover, narration, and creation status. We also keep the stories you save, listening progress, Story Star balance and activity, and records needed to prevent a purchase or credit from being applied twice.

If you allow notifications, we handle a device messaging token so we can send story progress updates. We also receive technical request and error information needed to run, protect, and troubleshoot the service. This website does not use advertising trackers or analytics cookies.

How we use it

We use this information to maintain your account, create and deliver stories, provide narration and cover art, keep your private library and listening progress, show your Story Star activity, send notifications you allow, respond to support requests, and protect the service from misuse.

Services involved in creating a story

Creating a story can involve OpenAI for writing, Cloudflare for cover generation, and Google Cloud for narration. The information sent to each service is limited to what its step needs, such as your story idea or generated text. Firebase Cloud Messaging may deliver notifications to your device. Apple handles in-app purchases if they are offered. These companies process information under their own terms and privacy practices.

Public and private stories

Your personal story requests and resulting stories are private to your account. Published editorial stories can be seen by anyone using FableTale. We do not automatically publish a personal story you create.

Storage and deletion

We keep information while it is needed to provide your account and stories, support purchases, and maintain the security and integrity of the service. To request account deletion or ask about your information, email us from your account address at support@fabletale.com. Deleting an account removes private story access and schedules private media for deletion. Some deidentified transaction and operational records may remain where needed for accounting, fraud prevention, or legal obligations.

Security and international processing

We use access controls and private storage for account information and personal story assets. Our service providers may process information in countries other than yours. No online service can guarantee absolute security; please contact us if you believe your account has been compromised.

Children

If you believe a child has shared personal information with us without appropriate permission, contact support@fabletale.com so we can review the request.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as FableTale changes. The effective date above shows when this version took effect. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
